Glob: lack of sleep and eating

Sunday, May 05, 2013

I was up early Saturday morning (2:45) to take a patient down to Billings. When I got back I did not go to sleep. Instead I stayed up and got some stuff done. But I was soooo hungry! Hungry all day! I know about Ghrelin and leptin but I experienced it first hand for real!

Last night I slept well, got up ate a normal breakfast, and got out and did 6 miles along with my normal ST. I feel much better! And not even hungry!

But our scale is stuck on 200 lbs. Ok it was a wedding gift which makes it 35 years old. Time for a new scale!

I have to laugh. My scale is a fossil too. I think my mom gave it to me when I got married for the first time My son is 38 now

I agree, time for a new scale. Congrats on the 35 years. I hope someday I can say the same.

A word of warning, every scale weighs a person differently so don't get overly excited it you weight less AND don't get bummed out and depressed if you weigh a bit more. Just call it day 1.

Definitely get a new scale. Stay off the old one.
I hate it when I'm tired.

    Get a good scale.

Bad scales are a constant source of aggravation. Also, put the scale on the hardest most rigid surfece in your house for the most reliable readings.

Glad to hear you're doing well.

The comments on your blog were great, too.

I think about the only common household thing we have left from 40 years ago is a set of mixing bowl that was so popular in the 1970s. Avacado, just like our first kitchen.
