Week Game Plan - 5/5/13

After being a member of Gold's Gym for the past 3 months, I made a shocking discovery - I absolutely LOVE BodyPump! I can't believe that it took me so long to get up the courage to go to a class. Fortunately there was this kind woman that arrived early to help me in my sadly confused state and told me how to set up all of the necessary equipment. Also, the instructor was fantastic and made sure I knew exactly what I was supposed to do the whole time for my first class. The weights I used were admittedly very light, but it gave me the confidence I needed to go back and do the class again (but this time with heavier weights!). So with all of this in mind, my game plan for the week is:

2-3 BodyPump Classes
2-3 Spin Classes
Strength MWF

Hopefully by the end of the week I will have reached my first major goal weight! I've been so close for the past 2 weeks, but I have not been able to breach the 140 hump into the 130s yet. I'm including a lot more cardio now, so this could be what I need to get to the next level *fingers crossed*.

In the midst of all of this, I'm also prepping for my comprehensive exam (anybody working on a doctorate degree should understand the chaos and stress this brings!!), with my official proposal starting next Monday. This is my last major hurdle before all I have to do is work on my research and thesis.
