Spring Into Summer 5% Challenge - I've been assigned to the CATS team.
One of our first challenges is to blog about our goals and expectations:
Having a written log with our goals and expectations of ourselves can serve as a motivator. An even greater motivator can be our WHY! Why are we taking this challenge? Why are we losing weight? WHY, Why, why?
You might also want to ponder and answer : What do you want to change?
How do you want to look and feel? What things will you be able to do in the future with a slimmer healthier body
Why am I taking this challenge?
I'm doing this to get healthier and get more active. Over the winter, I tend to "hibernate" and I need to get out of the habit of just sitting at home and watching TV or playing on the computer... I need to get out and get moving!
Why am I losing weight?
I'd like to lose weight so that I can be at a healthier weight to conceive a child. My husband and I have been casually trying for a while, but we haven't had any luck yet. Hopefully if I'm at a lower weight we'll be able to conceive more easily and start our family.
What do you want to change?
I want to change my lazy habits. I want to get out and move. I'm starting this by walking every day on my lunch break at work, instead of sitting at my desk (and often working through my unpaid lunch break...) I want to go for walks with my husband, and do other activities.
How do you want to look and feel?
I want to look and feel healthier. I want to fit into some clothes that have been moved to the back of my closet because they are too tight. I have two really pretty summer skirt and blouse sets that are too tight right now that I would love to wear again!
What things will you be able to do in the future with a slimmer healthier body?
I want to be able to walk a flight of stairs with more ease and less gasping for breath. I work on the 11th floor in my office building and live on the 15th floor in my apartment building; I'm going to try to take the stairs more often, too.
