is a tummy tuck really the only way????

Sunday, May 05, 2013

Of course I don't have the money for a tummy tuck and would never really do it however I've read that a tummy tuck is the only way to tighten the skin on your stomach. I don't have a huge over lapping skin flab. But it looks like I have a wrinkle going down from my bellybutton. Its only really noticeable when I lean forward. I admit I don't really focus on my ABS mostly my glutes and total body workouts ( jillian micheals most days)to be honest. But is it worth trying to tighten my stomach with exercise or should I not even bother.of course I do get a little AB work in I just haven't done I'd say a significant amount.

You don't need a tummy tuck. Don't worry about that wrinkle give your body time to tone and tighten with exercise.

I had a hand scrub that I used on my tummy when the skin started getting looser (after losing about 20 lbs). That worked a lot better than the exfoliating shower scrubs. You could try dry brushing too. Both clear away dead skin cells and promotes the growth of new skin cells. If it's just lose skin each layer will grow back smaller.

If it's extra fat, you've gotta do more exercise.

I would never get a tummy tuck my pride wouldn't allow it. I just wondered about the skin tightening with workouts

Try Julie Tuplar's "Tuplar Technique" and other ab focused exercises before you consider having someone cut up your body.

As you've guessed, I'm not a fan of cosmetic surgery. You are beautiful the way you are and NEVER let an advertisement for that garbage tell you otherwise. My favorite one (Applebee's bathroom) has an ad for tummy tucks, lypo...etc and their catch line is "Because you deserve it." You deserve someone cutting on your body!?! No, you deserve to feel comfortable in your body without surgical enhancements. You deserve to feel beautiful and happy naturally. You deserve to be a unique individual, not a cosmetic surgery Barbie Doll.

Look into Tuplar:
I'll even try it with you if you want, I've wanted to get rid of my baby belly for a while now myself.
