Pittsburgh Marathon

Sunday, May 05, 2013

Richelle and Joe on the bus to the Pittsburgh Marathon this morning.

My DD and SIL are among the 71,000 plus runners in Pittsburgh this morning running the Pittsburgh Marathon as well as several of their friends. I know they have beefed up their security and have gone over and above to make sure everyone is safe after the bombings at the Boston Marathon.

Dick's Sporting Goods has blessed those runners from the Boston Marathon that didn't get to complete their race. They paid for the flights, dinner last evening and hotel bills for 37 of them to come to Pittsburgh to complete the marathon. How awesome is that!!!

Be sure to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you and give them a great big hug!!! We are never promised tomorrow and need to take advantage of every day!!!
Have a very blessed Sunday and enjoy whatever life brings your way.
Blessings, love and hugs,

Baby Z due December 15!!!
My wonderful family and a loving husband. I love you!!!
Enough "bad" things to keep life interesting
Heat, air conditioning and electricity for our home
Plenty of healthy food
Thankful for each new day that I am given!!!
Unexpected twists and turns in our lives
God is in the "miracle" business!!!
Thank you, Lord, for your guidance and patience with me!
Too many positives and blessings to list them all here...Praise the Lord!!!

So glad they ran. What a wonderful story about Dick's. For the run in Philly today, most folks wore red socks or had "Boston Strong" on them. Warms you heart.

hugs....Mary Anne

How wonderful of Dick's Sporting Goods! I cannot imagine 71,000 people in the Pittsburgh marathon this morning!! Yikes! Way too many folks for me.

I've always tried to express my love for family & friends. My sweet soul sister Laurie reinforced that lesson. We would text each other hugs & kisses for no other reason but to say "I love you." I am so happy that we did and I continue to tell people, probably more than ever. So comforting that those were our last words to each other the last time she was able to speak to me...a beautiful gift she left with me.

Hugs & blessings, my friend.
