I haven't been able to find a teaching job for a while now so if I can't find one this year I may be going back to school for vet technician since my teaching license expires next year. All I would need to do is find a place nearby where I could get in practice hours. I'm looking at Penn Foster. Some people say the school is a scam. Some people love the school. Idk if the people who love it and post about it are really just workers of that school or what. I just know it's cheaper than other colleges and I wouldn't have to drive there everyday or have someone driving me there everyday. They have proctored exams at the end of each semester and hopefully they can find an area nearby me so that I can take the exams. I applied to some more teaching jobs today but I'm just tired of applying, applying, applying, and nothing coming up. I'm also tired of the stuck-up attitudes some of these people have. If they were in a place like Europe the attitudes would change, because our education system is not so great compared to other countries and testing more isn't going to make up for that. I remember once when I worked at Wal-Mart as a cashier I saw my former third grade teacher and I told her about my decision to go into teaching. She retorted, "Yeah you'll love it if you're into lots of testing because that's what it's become now." I know that I might meet a few stuck up people while working as a tech, but at least they probably won't have the attitude of "Our education system/school is the best," when it's not.
