Read Judges 7.
In the past years I very seldom remember my dreams. I know that we all dream but the hustle of life and short sleep patterns tend to wake us and we do not remember the dreams. I know that on those rare occasions when I do not need an alarm to rise I tend to remember what I was dreaming.
For the most part I believe dreams are simply the brain moving things around, sort of flashes of our mental filing system. I could be wrong but no-one knows exactly why we dream, there are only theories. I know that at times I have had some really strange ones and at times I have had frightful dreams. I remember a high-school teacher who was into dream interpretation. Certainly not science, there are a lot of people who believe in it. This particular dream and it's interpretation is really a stretch. How the second soldier came up with his answer from the information given had to be divine.
There are instances when God will give a message through a dream, or through an interpretation. Does this still happen? Why not? God has not changed, so maybe what you dreamed last night was a message, and maybe it was indigestion. In any case, if you are looking for a message from God, just read the bible, it's a lot clearer.
