In November I made the decision to complete a mini as my way of having a goal besides weight. I am happy to say that today I completed 13.1 mile course in 3:31:01!!
This is not the time I was hoping for, but I pushed myself. When I couldn't go further due to cramps, I walked.
My amazing husband was with me the whole way eencouraging me. It is amazing. I want to shout from the rooftops. Unfortunately, the pain is to intense to consider climbing stairs. So I will just blog on here what an amazing feeling it is to accomplish this.
My husband jokd about my next big goal should be a full. You know, with proper training I don't see why not, in a few years! If I get my mini time under 3hrs I'll consider it.
I am 31, 200lbs (about), have three kids and I did the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini Marathon. I didn't start training for my May race till November. My advice if your thinking about it, DON'T THINK. You will talk yours lf out of it. Do what Nike says and Just Do It!!!
