HOPEFULLY THE WEATHER IS BETTER

Saturday, May 04, 2013

Well, we had rain and high winds all day again today. So much of our area is flooded. I was at the market today hoping that people would come there as it was under cover, but they did not spend any money. I could have stayed home as I would not have spent as much. I found Hubby a No. 5 Griswall skillet with a glass lid which I just had to purchase for him. He has his Griswall pieces and we use them. Between that and our La Casuant cookware that is about all that we do use anymore. WE have some stainless and I have disposed of all the other that we had. The case iron just holds the heat and distributes it better when cooking. It rained all day and the winds were cold. I did not take Miss Coco as I was afraid it would be too bad for her. I had to wade in water to and from my car. I came home and ate some soup that I made yesterday. It was good and gave me a good feeling when the weather is like this.

Tomorrow we are not suppose to have the rain, but it will be cloudly. I understand there is anotehr front that is coming from the West that will get us next week. Oh, I just want enough good days to finish my house. I was sitting in my easy chair watching some TV and it sounded like someone opened my front door. I sat there a minute and then got up. There was Miss Coco pushing on it form this side and apparently one of the cats was on the other side doing the same. I opened the door and she went out and in came the cat. This cat never comes in and I was really surprised when she ran to the kitchen and drank from Coco's water dish. I know they have water out there, it is everywhere and their water dish is full. Maybe she just wanted to see what it was like in the house and at Coco's dishes.

Hope all my Sparks pals are doing well, and I am hearing the birds beginning to chirp outside so it must be clearing up.

We just got over flooding a couple of weeks ago. I had to laugh, this is the 2nd time I had to reschedule a mammogram because of major flooding in the area! I sure hope you get no more rain and things get a chance to dry up!
