After the migraine

Saturday, May 04, 2013

Finally the migraine is gone and I am only left with a headache and a burning sensation down my neck, back and shoulder. Yes!! I will be able to get back to my walking program and also be able to take the time in the kitchen to prepare food.

When I am sick I know I need the best nourishment but I feel too ill to prepare it and nobody else will do it for me. It is like a vicious circle. I need the good food to feel better but I am too sick to get up to do it. So now whilst I feel good I am going to prepare some meals to freeze so this wont happen again.

Here I go.

Glad you're feeling better! Definitely, freezing ahead meals so you can nourish yourself is a great idea (and something I should do more of myself!).

I get migraines. The weather affects me. Oh I can not eat if I have a migraine. I get them so bad, I get sick to my tummy, I lose my vision and have even pasted out from them. I used to get shots for them, but I lost my insurance when my hubby died. So now I just have to tuff it out when I get the. Caffeine helps and also gatorade. Going to the chiropractor... when he does an adjustment it's like a miracle, instant relief and the guy I go to it very cheap. Thank the Lord for that! Glad you are feeling better, take care! emoticon

I will be praying that you feel better soon. I am glad you will be getting back to your walking program. Walking is a great exercise. I am also glad you will be feeling better to cook again. It is hard cooking when you are not feeling well, especially with a migraine. Making food and freezing the food is an excellent idea.

I spent the day trying to recover from a spinning vertigo attack which is some ways is quite similar to a migraine. The room appears to be spinning, you can't walk straight and every time you move your head you throw up! Then after a few hours you are left feeling dizzy nauseous and totally wiped out. Therefore I can empathize with you. I too didn't feel like cooking today and my husband's idea of feeding me was cheese and crackers (not too bad really) , cake and ice cream. Not a good day for you and me both. Hope you're doing better.
