Today I bought new inserts for my athletic shoes. I'd been using a paor of Superfeet inserts, but they were getting pretty old, so I got a new pair of Dr. Scholl's Active inserts. They are way cheaper than Superfeet and my husband got a pair a couple months back and really liked them, so I thought I'd try them out. I also got some athletic tape so I can tape up my foot before using the treadmill. I thought that might help a little, since I can't really keep it wrapped in the ace bandage while I'm working out.
Last night was rest from cardio, but I got my first round of lower body strength training done, no problem. Today I have upper body ST again. I *think* I'm fully recovered for Tuesday now, so it shouldn't be too bad. Hope I don't end up as sore this time! I'm also going to do the stationary bike tonight wearing both my HRM and my BodyBugg to see how different their calorie burn calculations are. I did manage to get the display working again for my BodyBugg. Just had to replace the battery.
However, I think I'm going to end up replacing my BodyBugg anyway. I have the "Version 3" from Apex Fitness (now 24 Hour Fitness) and their web site kind of sucks. It's clunky and java-heavy and pretty outdated. Plus it requires me to log all my food twice, here on Spark and on the Apex site. There's a new BodyMedia FIT out called the CORE that's smaller than my current BodyBugg and their website is WAY better and integrates with SparkPeople! So I will only have to log my food once. I contacted their Customer Service and they are fairly certain my old Digital Display will work with the CORE, so I only need a new armband unit, not the full kit. It costs $95 and my husband said he would help me out some with the cost if I want. So I think I'm going to pull the trigger and order that this weekend. I just regret having essentially wasted $7 for a month's subscription to the Apex site, which I'm only going to end up using for about a week it looks like.
No other news really. My Mom stayed the night with us last night before heading back to PA this afternoon. We had a SUPER yummy breakfast of scrambled egg beaters mixed with fresh chopped peppers and onions and some turkey breakfast sausage. It ended up only being about 126 calories for a full plate of food!
Edit: Oh! I forgot to mention that I weighed myself this morning and now that I've flushed out most of the sodium from Wednesday and Thursday, I was down to 238.8, so 2.2 pounds so far since Tuesday!
