Today I am stressed because I am suffering from recurrent spinning vertigo which, when it happens spoils an entire day. First there is the initial phase with the spinning sensation, nausea and vomiting, then it is followed by about 12 hours of feeling headachey and dizzy. That's where I am right now! Not a good start to the day.

We're not sure what is causing the vertigo but it is about as bad as anything you can experience; I am going for testing at the end of this month. I hadn't thought of allergies but have been having these attacks for several months now. My ear surgeon (I have a cochlear implant) thinks it may be an inner ear problem like Menier'es disease. I hope not because that probably won't go away!

You have my sympathy. I had a bout of Vertigo a year ago, and I am still VERY CAREFUL about turning my head too quickly as the dizziness and nausea were like NOTHING I have ever experienced before. Do you suffer from allergies? I have heard the pollen count is the highest ever and I know that not being able to breathe normally and having swollen nasal passages can trigger Vertigo.
I hope you feel better soon.

So sorry about your vertigo. I think there must be something in the atmosphere because several people have mentioned it in the last few days.

Hoping you're feeling better soon!
