Summer is right around the corner it feels like. Each weekend the weather seems warmer, sunnier, and I'm getting more and more excited to get out and be active. I'm feeling more motivated to eat better so that I'm not feeling sluggish when it's hot out too!
I'm excited for the Farmers Market to begin so I can buy fresh local veggies, ripe peaches and apricots, delicious corn, and fresh bread.
I'm excited to go hiking, to take long walks outside in the sunshine whether they're downtown or by a stream in the Mountains.
I'm excited to go running in the evenings with my dog, to take her to the dog park on hot days and let her swim in the pond.
I'm excited for warm evenings on patios drinking margaritas, wearing sandals and short skirts.
I'm excited that my boyfriend has gotten me hooked on iced tea, so I'm looking forward to brewing different types and experimenting with flavors this Summer! (I really want to go get a glass container to keep it in that can double as drink service for parties!)
Above all, I'm excited that my craving to wear bikinis, sun dresses, shorts, tank tops, etc, has me feeling pumped to work harder, eat smarter, and drop the next 10lbs. I want to spend the Summer feeling energized, strong, fit, and slender. What fun is it to wear a sundress on hot days if you're self conscious about your flabby arms or thighs? Even if they don't get as trim as I'd like I know that by working out more and eating fresher foods I'll FEEL more confident. And that's what's most important. I want to spend this Summer loving my body!
