Even if I do nothing else to advance my goals today, the LEAST I can do is log in and spin the Sparkpeople wheel. Spinning the wheel mentally connects me with what I'm trying to do. I'm on this website to continue learning how to eat better and move more. When I'm unmotivated, I avoid logging in. That's the wrong approach. Those are the days I need to log in and spin the wheel. Even if I do nothing else all day, spinning the wheel keeps the program on my mind. Eventually, my thoughts will propel me into action. SP founder Chris talks about exercising 10 minutes for the same reason. Anything we do to push ourselves in the right direction is a start.
So if you have no motivation to do anything else today, log in and spin the wheel. Then go somewhere and move your body for 10 minutes. Just for now, that's enough.
