Saturday May 4th
Weigh in at 180.
This is my only recent picture. I was up to 188, which is what I actually started at in 2007 when I went down to 138. Now I am thinking 150 is a good weight, and I was able to maintain there for a long time until I hit a lot of hormonal issues. Low thyroid, specifically low T3, high cortisol and high estrogen. So I had to take a step back and heal my liver, and deal with my stress issues, and took a lot of supplements for all of it. Last year I was up to 170 and could not lose whatever I did, plus would get very dizzy and weak from low blood sugar.
Now I am actually losing and feeling good too. Down 8 lbs now, feeling encouraged, I am eating 1200 calories a day but doing a lot of exercise and weights too. So I am at 180 which is only 10 lbs more than last year and 30 more to go to get to 150.
Glad I am back and actually able to lose, and feeling better. Partly I stopped Sparkpeople because I did not feel I was getting the support I needed. I am just using it to track my food and weight and track my exercise at walkertracker.com I am not so obsessed with the scale or my calorie intake, but have to track because I can't lose unless I limit my calories to 1200 or so, though may zig-zag later.
Ultimately it's up to me though but it was frustrating doing all the right things and not losing, and let's hope I can keep losing and feeling good!
