Just What I Needed

Saturday, May 04, 2013

Woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep... am expecting an unknown number of people for lunch, and though I'm not cooking for them, there are a lot of things to do..

PLUS my freezer just died last night (at least I think it's dead, and my beloved repairman has just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer), and it's filled with meat that will need to be eaten if I can't find a home for it all.

So, I got up and did some (quiet) chores, and sparkpeopled for a while, and found this wonderful article, 15 Natural Mood Lifters
Quick and Easy Ways to Lift Your Spirit

Just what I needed for right now.
And now I'm headed back to bed.
My troubles can be dealt with in the morning...
Hope you have a great weekend

It is amazing what a few thoughts can do to us! Best wished on your freezer, I think mine is acting goofy as well. I am hoping to limp along at least until Monday!

That was a great article and I like the idea of listing personal lifters as well.

Latent guilt with the diet, about 'meat'...wishing to pawn it off on your guests so you don't have to deal with it diet wise? LOL

So sad about your repairman....there are others possibly...yet he might need the money...circular arguments all over every where, good luck!

Cook up your defrosting meat. It will last longer, and can be refrozen if you resuscitate your freezer.

I was going to say sitting in the garden surrounded by growing plants watching the cats pkay snd demand belly rubs while listening to music and eating some fresh fruit is the best mood lifter ever. ..and then I saw dhe recommends all the same things in the article. ..great minds think alike!

Fine pointers. I'm still up on Friday night, listening to music I like and just finished a Kahlua on ice. Sitting here Sparking and enjoying my freedom, as my wife, who I am caregiver for, has been off to bed for awhile. Thanks for the reminder that we do these things for ourselves. Good luck with your freezer contents. Sorry to hear you may be stuck with them defrosting. Best wishes, Glenn
