My First Run

Saturday, May 04, 2013

Well good morning everyone emoticon

I have some news.......... I did my first run today!!!!!!!!!! emoticon

I am so pleased with myself. I decide at the end of last week that I am ready to run. I have been thinking about it for a while and I just thought that if i am considering run then i should just do it.

So, I first joined a running club with my new job, which is every Wednesday evening after work. Then I thought.... well that is only once a week and if I am going to do do this for me then I should run for myself.

I have decided to run every other day, I got my stuff together last night before bed so that I wouldn't disturb my husband. I got up this morning at 8am put on my gear and ran!!! I ran for 1.2 miles (a distance that I walk every day) the thing that surprised me the most is that I did the time in.........23 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you can tell im am really pleased with myself I still can't believe that I did it by myself without anyone dragging me along.

And I have to say that I feel BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!! emoticon

I hope everyone has a fab weekend (bank holiday for us in the UK) and I can say that instead of just talking about it do it!! you will be surprised at what you can do
