So. Carolina criminalizes ObamaCare!

Friday, May 03, 2013

The South Carolina state House passed a bill Wednesday that declares President Obama’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to be “null and void,” and criminalizes its implementation.

The state’s Freedom of Health Care Protection Act intends to “prohibit certain individuals from enforcing or attempting to enforce such unconstitutional laws; and to establish criminal penalties and civil liability for violating this article.”

SPECIAL COVERAGE: Health Care Reform

The measure permits the state Attorney General, with reasonable cause, “to restrain by temporary restraining order, temporary injunction, or permanent injunction” any person who is believed to be causing harm to any person or business with the implementation of Obamacare.

Earlier this year in her state of the state address, Gov. Nikki Haley said that South Carolina does not want and cannot afford the president’s plan, “not now, not ever.”

“To that end, we will not pursue the type of government-run health exchanges being forced on us by Washington,” she said. “Despite the rose-colored rhetoric coming out of D.C., these exchanges are nothing more than a way to make the state do the federal government’s bidding in spending massive amounts of taxpayer dollars on insurance subsidies that we can’t afford.”

The nullification bill moved on to the state Senate Thursday and referred to the Committee on Finance.

Now if we can only get the rest of the States to do the same, perhaps our country won't go down the drain AND we can get decent medical care again!!!

Don't kid yourself into thinking that ObamaCare is what President Pinocchio told us it would be. Do some research on it, and you will weep when you see how we have been duped......AGAIN.....by this liar in the White House.

One of the reasons SP has been so successful and benefited thousands (millions?) of people is because it is a supportive, encouraging site with our attention focused on ways to improve our lives and health.

This is what sets SP apart from the rest of the media which often targets the negative issues. Theresa's comment says it all. SP is not the place for political statements.

You have made a lot of progress on your journey of weight loss. Keep up the great work toward your goal. And your quilts are pure works of art! Thanks for sharing them with us!

Political posts don't belong on Spark.
Even says so in the rules-
"No posts on the Message Boards that are political or religious in nature.
Those discussions should be reserved for SparkTeams related to these topics, since sensitive topics often cause controversy and negativity that we do our best to avoid in our positive and supportive Community."

There might be a "We Hate Obama" team on Spark you could join but in my opinion, Spark should be about supporting each other, not venting about the president. (Unless he outlaws sweating!)
