This week I have been so inactive. I have managed to do about 5,000 steps a day which I am embarassed about because there are others at my workplace doing 8,000 - 14,000 steps a day! I am realizing that seeing their activity level is making me motivated to "keep up with the pack" and isntead of laying down on the couch the other day I decided to take Gully for a walk. I never did manage to make it down to Softball Valley on Wednesday night to walk him, but I did take him for a walk around the neighborhood. For those of you who need a reminder, here is my sweet Gully boy (aka Gulliver, aka Gullybear, aka Christmas Gully, aka Gully schmoo, or just schmoo for short).
We walked about 2.5 km, which used to be our normal morning routine. About half way my head started pounding and I felt dizzy. This, apparently, lasts for quite a while after you've had a concussion. I really wanted to just stop and lay there in the grass and have my hunny come get me, but I didn't have my cell phone so I slowly walked home. I hate that my head is preventing me from doing stuff when I'm healthy and should be working out!
Not to mention it's that TOM and I feel like pigging out. In fact, I did pig out on Monday. The rest of the week I was within my calorie range, fats, carbs, protein, but I have been WAY over my sodium levels by about 1,000 mg a day. I need to reduce that significantly.
Tonight my plans are to just relax and take it easy. I'm going to cuddle up with Gully and a big bowl of Thai Coconut Chicken Soup and watch bridal shows, paint my toenails, have a bath and practice my presentation for tomorrow while my hunny goes out with boys.
