Frustrated...with technology....

Friday, May 03, 2013

Ugh...This is just a rant...sorry in advance...

So I sit here on my break from trying to fill out an application...

I hate technology

I cannot submit the application without putting my boss from 5 years ago under the reference since I claimed to have worked for her. I cannot get in contact with her and when I go to the website, I am simply put in circles and given a form for email, but not the address....

So I can't submit the application and without the email address and I can't get it....

And, I put all my confedential reference letters in my credentials file at school. I can't get them over the internet, they can only be mailed to the school. The school I'm applying to won't take in mail for applications...how crazy can this system be?

What ever happened to good old fashioned phone calls and letters?

Anyways, now I am off to find a kid....I think he's supposed to be at the library, but have a feeling he went out with the gym class.....

Today just isn't my day....

I avoid it when ever possible. This is another reason I will not be looking for another job any time soon. Hope you get it all worked out!

I miss the old fashioned way too. Applying for jobs online is so....insert come colorful words. One place I worked for doesn't exist anymore. What should I put for their phone number?! In person, this is simple to explain but online forms with mandatory fields...ugh. Good luck and rant away.
