I went to the Dr yesterday for a check up and was shocked by what I saw on the scale. I can't believe I lost 11 lbs in two weeks. Especially since I traveled all last week, had that huge steak and didn't cook one meal for myself.
I'm very happy and at this point am down 19 lbs total. I thought my clothes would be fitting differently but that's not the case. It's very surreal.
Anyway, I'm glad I'm doing what the dietitan suggested because she said I would maintain and then drop, maintain and then drop. Seems to be working out that way. To top it off on Wednesday I didn't have anything planned for dinner and was so frustrated over what the dietitian said I felt like I should get in 'one more bad meal.' I was thinking of all the things I want but I ended up eating mac and cheese (with whole grain noodles) and a sandwich from Safeway. It was odd that I didn't binge or eat something like fast food. I couldn't even eat all the mac and cheese I made which was my original intention. Something good is going on here....
So, my plan for next week since I'll be in New Orleans is to: focus on the food groups and eat as many 'whole' foods as possible, eat a lot of sea food, stay as close to may calorie range as possible, not go overboard with drinking and to have fun and enjoy my time there! I have a feeling it's going to be so hot I'll just melt away anyway. I also purchased a cookbook and dining guide which focuses on 400 calorie meals. I'm supposed to be getting 500 calorie meals but this was as close as I could find and there are some good suggestions. I'll just have to increase some of the recipe or add a piece of fruit.
So....holy cats! It's friday and I'm going to make it a good weekend while I pack and clean!
