Resolutions

Everything seems to be calming down. The two dogs are doing very well together. Sydney puts Summer in her place when necessary. They are starting to lay together and yesterday they ate together. We are figuring out Summer and she is figuring us out. She is a really smart dog. About the only thing she truly needs work on is her leash manners, but we will work on that. If my son wasn't more hyper than the dog, she could stay a lot calmer.

I made an appointment to get the epidural block on Tuesday. I am hoping that will relieve a lot of the pain as my doc says it is all coming from my neck. I haven't really been able to exercise, but I have been eating very well and cut out all the alcohol and I have lost 2 lbs since my weigh in last Friday. I think the not drinking has also cut out the bad eating that you don't think about after drinking.

I have had a very quiet week with work and I have enjoyed being able to focus on something else for a while. It was still stressful with introducing the new dog, but it all seems to have worked out. At least I don't just sit and stare at Sydney waiting for her to die anymore. I know it will happen one day, but now she actually wags her tail and she did try to run yesterday to get the other dog's bone lol Syd hasn't been able to chew a bone for quite a while.

My doctor changed my BP meds that were making my ulcerative colitis go nuts to every other day. That seems to be making things better.

I had no JC this week with the weather being 85 degrees and then 35 degrees. I really worry about him colicing. Not to mention this cold, damp weather makes me hurt. I will go out after showings on Sunday.

All in all, it turned into a good week :)

I know exactly how you feel about Syd...we have a very cranky oldster kitty cat that I truly adore. He's 18 which I think is somewhere around the late 80's in humanoid years. He barely eats and it's a juggle every time we go to the pet food store to try something that we can coax down him. I know the day will come...but I'm just SO sad to think about it. He was our son's cat...and since losing Josh..you just feel like this was the last link. emoticon His momma cat (see both on my pic page) died about 4 years ago and it was horrible. We love our animals..they are our fur babies. emoticon
