Tough time at work

Friday, May 03, 2013

I have been having a tough time at work recently. We hired a new person for a management position that has no experience in our field.

I am the only woman in the office and he has been very rude and sexist. My title may only be Admin. Asst. but I run the office. If I wasnt here this place would probably explode. I can normally combat guys who try to cop an attitude but this guy is oblivious.

I have been trying to not let this guy get to me, but he just grates on my nerves.

I could keep going and going but I wont let him take up much more of my time. I just needed a little mini release.

Thanks for reading the rant.

emoticon A little sunlight to brighten this gloomy day.

Working with rude/sexist people is really hard. I commend you for talking about it and trying to stay positive. I hope the situation gets better really soon. Stay strong!

Good luck with the jerk. Can't stand people who act like that.

I hope things get better. Rant when you need to let it out. We all do!

I've worked with guys like that. They like to get a rise out of people.

LIfe in many companies would crumble without administrative assistants. Keep taking the high road around him, don' t give him the satisfaction of letting him see he rattles you.

That is tough! Sorry you have to deal with that every day!

I understand your situation all too well. I used to work in an environment like that. Thankfully my current job is awesome. I work with a great bunch of people. And everyone looks out for everyone else. We are what you would call a dysfunctional family LOL.

Just hold your head up high and keep at it!!!!!
