Pushing myself!

Today I ran the neighborhood route, twice! I must clarify that my six hills are various sizes, with some that are more like an incline, but feel like a "hill" when I run! I walk the big ones.

My morning run was about pushing myself. I've talked to enough runners, in person and here, that I added some sprints to the flat today. I went fast and my "normal." I went slow up the small hills and stopped for a few seconds when I needed to. I'm trying to listen to my body and it was talking this morning! By the end, I had that slight pain in the side, which told me that I had indeed pushed myself. My back is a little sore, so I must have been leaning too far forward.

I'm also doing Hip Hop Abs at night. It's fun, but I am not a "dancer." The ab workout may also be why the lower back is a bit achy. It's a lot of "tightening and tucking."

I feel pretty good right now! For an almost 46 year old mother of four, I think I'm looking pretty good! I love muscles and I like feeling strong. I know my health is better now than when I was younger and that healthy feeling is what matters most.
