Who knows where my times goes. Seriously, at one minute I think I've got a whole free evening to spend relaxing and working on my much needed study time, then the next minute it's 10:30 at night. aack.
After yesterday's fantastic after work hike, this morning I was glad to wake up and have a "free" day as far as exercise goes -- although I just spent half the night cleaning/dusting/vacuuming/ doing laundry/doing dishes and making a salad starter -- so I guess that's where the night went. Not sure how all that activity will translate into my fitness counter, but I'm going to try and add something!
Also after yesterday's hike -- I'm so excited to get out hiking again. I used to be in great hiking shape, but that was about a year and a half ago -- and ABQ is at a whole other level of altitude, which makes it even more challenging and rewarding. I LOVE IT. But looking ahead at my schedule -- the best I can hope for is maybe another hike not this weekend, but next Sunday (mother's day) -- and maybe again during that week after work.
This weekend is the 10k walk with my mom for the zoo charity on Sunday -- should be great weather and a fun time. Plus I'm sure will slip some shoe shopping in this weekend, one of my favorite past times with my mom. :-) Not that I need more shoes mind you -- but I just LIKE them.
Did great this week as far as staying in calorie range and getting all of my nutrients on most days. Keeping up with my fitness running plan, despite reading that annoying article by the anti-running guy. But I'm cross-training, so that should count too. Next week is that crazy week where I'm working full-time and doing a full-time spanish immersion class. I'm hoping it all works out and I'm not a zombie by mid-week. That being said, I might not be posting much next week. I am also in the process of trying to figure out the best way to arrange my weekly workout schedule -- still not sure yet, but if I'm going to be so busy, I'd like to get some activity in if I can manage it.
Speaking of activity, tomorrow is day 13 of my phase 2 running plan (doesn't that just sound so official -- lol). And it's 8/1 x4. I'm looking forward to it. The second day of doing 7/1 x4 was on Tuesday (and it was much easier than the first 7/1 x4 which was on Monday). Although, from here on out -- each day goes up a notch on the running minutes. So I'm a little concerned with everything going on next week -- about how that's going to work, as it seems the difficulty next week will be higher than it's been the previous weeks thus far. I guess I should just focus on tomorrow's workout first, before I get all carried away at everything next week. :-)
At least the weekend after next I will have more or less free so I can recover from this upcoming week. All the weekends after that are going to be completely booked with two weekend kayaking trips and a long weekend trip out of town. I'll have to improvise on those weeks too so I can keep on schedule.
Alright, I guess that's enough blabbing for one blog.
