Maintenance Lesson #3: Deal with reality as it is
Thursday, May 02, 2013
There were a few things about my most recent employment that made the experience awesome. For instance, my coworkers shared a couple gold nuggets of wisdom with me, and, I assure you, I threw out a few of my own. Two in particular are relevant and helpful to my maintenance:
Gem Received: "Ya get what ya get, and ya like it."
me: "I am so sick and tired of the same, boring, flat, one-note food all the time. I want to eat something different, like one of the recipes in my 2" binder of collected, NEW recipes."
Response: "Ya get what ya get, and ya like it."
This is complemented well with
My Words of Wisdom: "TFB"
me: "I hate the elliptical, and walking barely gets my heart rate up or burns any calories. I want to run or do Combat or take Zumba, and it's not fair that I can hardly raise my arm and that my knee's shot, and I'm sick of my back being out of whack. I wish I could afford / I wish I had the opportunity to / this sucks, wah wah wah."
