Help needed....

Saturday I am invited along with my mother to a pre walk lunch for relay for life 2013 cancer survivors and the menu is like this...

I will do my weekly weigh in at home tomorrow and then figure out my allocated points plus a day from that weigh in. I will have a small bowl of cereal and some fruit before the event to satisfy me until the lunch.

My question is how should I proceed here?. I know I have the 49 "emergency" weekly points allowance available.

The menu for lunch on Saturday...

Lasagna

Pasta with Meat sauce
Cheese Ravioli,
salad
Queso and Chips
quesadilla's
tea, water
cookies and cake

    How about lasagna in moderation ... or as someone suggested - bring your own .

    Great ideas ! You also may want to have some protein at breakfast to help tide you over. Enjoy the lunch! It's all about portions (which for me is a very hard thing to do)

    I'd fill up on the salad and water and have small amounts of the other items you'd really enjoy. Those weekly points are there for times like these so you can still enjoy yourself and not feel deprived. I personally use all my weeklies because I lose more weight when I do, but I divide them by 7 and add 7 to my DP's to give me more points each day (unless I have a planned outing, I will save them for those).

    have as much salad as you want and either have a small piece of lasagna or pasta / meat sauce (is it whole wheat pasta cause that's not to bad) , you can have a small piece of cake just remember moderation, we still have to live our lives and enjoy ourselves and outings, which means we have to be able to say okay I can have a small piece of cake not a large one , just enough to satisfy yourself.
The key is moderation, make sure when your eating the salad that the calories aren't hidden in the salad dressing.
