I sometimes used my family as an excuse for why it was hard to lose weight or maintain my weight.
"I have to cook for them. I have to eat with them. I have to eat what they eat. I have to eat when they eat. I don't have time to do it all well."
So, Yeah, planning and prepping healthy food is turning out to take up time, but I'm finding it. And I'm finding that as I introduce healthful meals and veggies, they are warming up to eating them. My family doesn't demand JUNK food, they demand that I provide FOOD. If I know it's coming, I can be ready for hungry time!
It's totally up to me what quality I put on the table and in the lunchboxes. Kids adapt. Kids follow mom's lead. Kids' tastes and preferences can be reprogrammed with just a little effort.
No more blaming my family. I have a great family. I love that they are willing to eat the healthy stuff (mostly) that I put on the table. I'll use that to motivate me to get it there!
