Weigh-in update

I am working on a longer blog to talk about my two years here on spark. I was typing it and it disappeared lol. So back to the drawing board for that. But I did want to post a small update at least.

Looking back i did not do a weigh in in April. April was an extremely busy month for me. I flew over 21,000 miles last month. I was sick for a while and had a lot of other things going on that it wasn't the easiest of months by a long shot. But I made it through and I am stronger for it. Like I mentioned it was also the month of two years on spark. I am so thankful for my time here and that really deserves it's own blog.

I haven't been in the gym since April 7th however I have been trying to practice all the healthy habits I have developed over the last 2 years. Even with it being a crazy, hectic, eventful, trying month. I was able to drop .8 pounds. It's not a ton but posting a loss with vacation, sickness and no gym time just walking for exercise is not bad at all. So I will take it. I want to say a special thank you to all my friends who checked on me while I was on vacation, Who sent me goodies and well wishes while I was sick. I really appreciate it soooo much! Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. Here are the numbers...

Starting weight 380 lbs
week 10 weight 275 lbs
week 15 weight 274.2 lbs
Difference -.8 lbs
Total weight lost 105.8 lbs
lbs to goal 24.2 lbs

    emoticon I am so glad you are well! I imagine flying so much you are always susceptible to catching other peoples germs. It is said if you put neosporin ointment in your nose prior to flying it helps you from getting sick breathing all the germs. When I used to fly all the time I did that and I felt like it worked.

I tried to leave on comment on your page, but when I typed nothing showed up! Weird! Anyway, my Wifi keeps dropping every 2 minutes. It's very frustrating. I have also been getting a blue screen about once a week for the last month or so. My laptop is almost 2.5 yrs old and I use it all day every day. I think I need a new one.

    Sorry to hear that you were sick but glad you are feeling better. I love reading your blogs. Just the motivation I need. They are so inspiring. I know that if I keep up the good work that it will all pay off in the end. Just gotta remember to take small steps instead of trying to do one big change at once. Keep the inspiration coming and congrats on everything!! You have come a long way and you still keep pushing!!! Awesome!!!

    You are so inspiring. I have your one blog printed and hanging on my mirror in the bedroom to keep me on the right track. Sorry for your sickness and glad you are feeling better. Any little bit of exercise is good. I found that I have to give myself a break every few days so I don't burn out. A lot of miles traveled but I am sure it was a good time. Take care my emoticon .

    I love your positive attitude!! Even though you haven't been in the gym for awhile and other things came up in life to keep you from doing your normal routine, you still kept pushing and kept doing what you could to stay healthy! That's definitely what matters :)

It's like a good quote I saw: Making one poor food choice and then continuing to say, "forget it, I'll just eat bad the rest of the day" is like getting a small scratch on your phone but then smashing it off of the wall until it shatters. Irrational, and ridiculous. One "negative" thing does not equal a drawn-out failure!

    The hectic month is behind you now,you are incredible with your journey in these 2 years.I am starting over as of Sunday.I cannot look back & say gee I would have been so far ahead if I had only stuck with my good intentions. I am now lazer focused on my healthier lifestyle. I was never consistent until now.
I am happy you are feeling better. I do not know how you did not collapse with all that flying time. I have a wretched fear of flying. However I had so swallow that fear & I traveled to Israel, Greece & Jordan , my husband wold not leave the American soil. So I journeyed onward. My brother lives in California I have flown there 3 times, he wants me to come back for a visit. How do I get over the fear? I put myself in panic mode when I know I have to go.Have a great weekend !!
