I recently got this great little tool called Fitbit Zip.
For some strange reason it has motivated me to walk, move, run or jump - any movement to count as a step.
On the second day I had this handy dandy attached to my belt I crossed over the 5000 step mark.
Yesterday on the 19th day that I had been wearing that cute little Zip I reached the magic number of 10000+ steps.
Now today I had this strange
urge to get out and reach that magic number again. I walked for 3+ kms and logged 5000 and a few steps. I have kept moving since I got home and now there are the numbers 7000 showing under steps taken.
I know before this day is finished I will get at least 10 000 steps again.
So what is there about this itty bit of portable technology that urges me to walk, move, skip or bike - anything - just move move move?
I can't answer that question but I know I'm going to keep on using it. I got my mojo (often called motivation) back. I feel like moving. I feel like dancing. I feel so good.
