Even though I am not on pace with my track line for my longer term goal, I felt confident in my accomplishments in April. With every thing that is going on, I think I'm doing fine. I've lost 5 pounds since restarting Spark. I've actually lost about 15 total but never reset my higher weight in Spark. My clothes are ridiculously loose and I'll be able to "shop from my closet" very soon.
Mostly in April I was focusing on exercising 5 times a week and trying to check in with Spark daily. I hit the first part at 100%, the second part...about 75 to 80%.
1 - Incorporate strength training 2X a week to start. Do not focus on what I can't do but instead focus on just getting it done.
2 - Add another shorter cardio workout to my cardio heavy days. I am hoping this is a dog walk either in the am or late pm. Depends on whether or not that amps me up and keeps me from sleeping. I hope to have those additional minutes 3X a week.
3 - Log EVERY day. That's my goal. I know I probably won't be perfect, but I am going to try. AND I have to actually start this on the 2nd as I missed the 1st due to emotional upheaval late last night. So 30 days.
4 - If money and time allow, I want to redo my motivational collage. I found the one I did last time and with everything that has gone on...my priorities have changed. I need inspiration more suited to who I am at the moment.
There...May Goals! Goals with numbers and none of them tied to a weight. Yay me! Not that I won't be excited by that number changing as well...but not what I am looking for. I like the look of those goals. One for strength, one for cardio /endurance, one for planning strategy, and one for spiritual mojo. Perfectly quartered pie of possibility!
I hope you all have a fabulous rest of your day!
