May Goals

Thursday, May 02, 2013

Happy May all!

So I have been sparking since January 2013 and have yet to lay down any concrete goals, however over the last 4 months I have learned that it is best to do what spark tells you to! I think to this point I have been afraid to really put any goal other than "get healthy" out there for fear of how it would feel if I fail. No more of that though May has goals!

- Start a fitness streak! I generally get at least 3, 45 min to an hour hour workouts in a week, which I am happy with but I want to push to fit at least 10 minutes in EVERYDAY. What's 10 minutes right? emoticon

- Get my 5 freggies a day, now that the nice weather has arrived this should be easier emoticon emoticon

- Reach the 240's in May *This is the scary one people* I can't say for sure how many lbs I have to go because I started a medication to help with chronic pain and it has me down 6 lbs this WEEK (all water) but I still think this is a doable goal and am going for it!

As always I appreciate all the help and support I get from my spark friends!!

These are great goals! I love writing out my goals, it makes things more concrete. There is always a fear of failure but failure is not necessarily a bad thing! If for whatever reason you don't meet your goals, you'll at least be able to look back at your aspirations and try to figure out what went wrong. Failure's not bad if you learn from it!

Another fun exercise might be writing out how you plan to accomplish your goals. For instance, 5 fruits and veggies a day. Will you toss some tomatoes in an omelet? Berries with yogurt for a snack? It helps me to visualize ways I might achieve my goals, so I'm ready for anything! emoticon

Good goals! I do think being more specific helps with motivation - something I'm struggling a bit with myself. Way to go!
