IN PROGRESS GOALS
1) Maintain my weight at +10 / -14 pounds
2) Maintain my budget and pay off 1 debts (revised)
3) Finish my 1st Marathon
Originally registered for the Paris Marathon on April 7 but after experiencing knee issues in the 2-3 weeks prior I backed out rather than risk more severe injury. I’m keeping this on the goal list for now since I still have 8 months left in the year and a marathon is certainly still possible.
4) Resume saxophone playing and look for a band to join
**5Q2 – met; Amsterdam
7) Improve sleep habits
8) Eliminate the Snooze
9) Learn French
Continuing lessons in French; karate training is in French
10) Have fun and stress less; list other monthly mini-accomplishments
10a – mowed the lawn after breaking down and buying an electric lawnmower
11) Half Fanatic Moons
New goal, replaces #6 Triathlon training. Dual goal…advance a moon level as a Half Fanatic and get my finish time back to 2:15 or better.
6) Set Triathlon goal date, start training
My heart is not in this one. I set it because it seemed a logical follow-up to a marathon & I have always wanted to do a tri. But after running the HMs in March, and discovering some of my coworkers also train in karate I realized that what I want more is to get back to a decent finish time in the HMs and to resume training in martial arts. What I do not enjoy is swimming, especially in open water and I despise getting my face and ears wet. So rather than picking up 2 new activities (swimming & biking) I’ve decided to replace this goal for now with one that means more to me.
