Do what you can , with what you have, where you are." Theodore Roosevelt

The world is changing . Things are getting harder. Money is getting tighter. Stress is high. Pills are plentiful and full of bad side effects. People are getting a lot of different diseases which then causes their weight to spiral.

I know some of you can't exercise do to injury or disease, but you can still drink your water , get good sleep ,and eat as healthy as you can. Some people are free of disease but lack money to work out.

In that case use what you have. Your own two legs can take you for a walk or a hike. You can still do strength training ,using cans for weights Use a broom as a barbell. Lift a sack of potatoes or your kids carefully. Go to a park and get on the seesaw with your kids , use the monkey bars., and if you can fit, the slide and swings.

There is a new range of fitness everyone is, going back old school ala...Mr. Jack Lalane,push-ups, jumping jacks, planks all just using your body no weights needed.

You can do these and other exercises anywhere the kitchen , the office , the bathroom .Do some calf raises in the checkout line at the grocery store.

I know times are hard but, cut coupons, watch for sales, buy extra when you have a coupon to match the sale. Budget your money and stick to it. Get rid of the extras bring your lunch to work, make your own coffee in the morning. Bring your own nuts for snack, and a tea bag, so you won't hit the office snack machine.

Get rid of stress .Do what you can in your little corner of the world the rest of the world will follow. Hugs

I have done this and instead of instant messaging someone I actually get up and walk to their desk. I also take the stairs rather than the elevator. I have not bought lunch at work for going on 7 years. I have slowly increased my water to equal my weight in O=oz I drink per day.
It is slow but i have seen major changes.
I also used the cans of food for light weights when i first started and SP had some excellent video's you can use.

Spring clean - yep that really is calorie consumer !! ( heavy house cleaning , and I mean heavy for two hours packs a punch in calories) And good thing to keep in mind the more you keep movng the more good food you can consume !! Hugs - Gotta Run off to my Garden emoticon

Meditation is a great one for getting rid of stress. Last year and the year before I meditated and was able to bring my6y blood pressure down by 10 to 15 points in just ten or less minutes. I did this daily. All it cost was an inexpensive electric blood pressure machine. I really know I benefitted from that. Glenn
