The Worst Week Isn't Finals Week

Thursday, May 02, 2013

It's the week BEFORE finals that sucks! I will be honest. I don't study for finals very much. If you didn't spend the whole semester working your a$$ off, paying attention in class and completing assignments, then NO amount of studying in the final stretch is gonna save you! And that is completely true, I live it and I know it. So I look over some notes and make sure I get enough sleep, and that's about all. This has been the week of challenges, not finals week. I've had another big group project that the prof sprang on us at the last minute, and a bad test grade in another math class, a ginormous chem study guide test that is being taken online for a grade, and a sick kid...and a pissed-off husband who sees me less than my math group does right now.

So yeah, did I work out this week??? GRRR!!! I hate being off my routine!!! Yesterday I skipped my workout to buy groceries, because my whole family was starving. We seriously had NO food in the house. The kicker is that the weather has been GORGEOUS for riding. I've been riding to and from school, which is only 2 miles each way, and that's about all. I'm so frustrated right now. I keep telling myself it's almost over and then I can have a life again, but I'm also thinking about the 40-mile ride I'm signed up for on Memorial weekend, and the fact that SUMMER classes start the week after finals. :/

One final note. Has anyone tried the Bud Light Straw-ber-ritas? O.M.G. They are evil-wicked-good. I get a buzz from ONE, which is good because I stop at a buzz. I think they are like 240 calories each. Yowza. They have been a most excellent nightcap though.

That's for sure! You will make it through. I hope your daughter is better and that it's nothing serious. Take care and enjoy the time you do get on the bike as much as possible.

2 miles each way is great! This happened to me when marathon training, I saw exercise as all or nothing. The little things add up fast and help u lose weight faster then working yourself into the ground with exercise. It's hard to not let it become a hobby sometimes. You are almost done! Just a little bit more. It will all be worth it in the end.
