I have been very busy lately, and I was feeling like I desperately needed some time to myself.
Our church had our Women's Retreat this past weekend. A friend came and picked me up early Friday afternoon, and we stopped and picked up 3 other ladies. Then it was off to the retreat. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining and it was quite warm.

After about an hour's drive we stopped off at a restaurant for an early supper. It was too early to get to the retreat, so we just took our time relaxing and visiting while eating supper. We were some of the first to arrive and it was wonderful.

The retreat is held away from the city. The camp is alongside a lake and it is so peaceful and quiet. The camp is owned by a Christian group, Youth for Christ, who generally have youth in the camp throughout the summer. There is a large lodge with 2 stories and a basement. Each room has 4 bunk beds. Meals are prepared for us. If anyone has any allergies or health issues, such as Diabetes, special meals are prepared as required. Friday they don't have a meal, as we are supposed to arrive at 6:30 P.M. They do have a snack at 10:00 P.M., though.
We had such a wonderful weekend. The weather was beautiful and I was able to go for some walks. Our teaching sessions were wonderful and the praise and worship was amazing. You could just feel the Holy Spirit in the room. I managed to spend some time in the Prayer Room, which is such a peaceful place. It looks out on the lake.

Even though there were 7 of us in our quite small room, we had a good time. Everyone got along well and there were no problems. It was hard to come back home on Sunday afternoon. It was a very peaceful and relaxing weekend and I came home feeling very blessed and rested, even though I didn't sleep that well. I had a good night's sleep on Sunday night.

Monday two of my church friends and I went to a spa. We had a wonderful relaxing day there, just chatting and having fun in the mineral pool and hot tub. We were having fun splashing water on each other and just enjoying our time together. My one friend is moving at the end of June, so we wanted to make sure we spent one more spa day together. We have been doing this for several years. Two years ago I had my birthday at the spa and my two friends joined me. I enjoyed a one-hour aromatherapy massage.

It just so happened, that they were working on the steam room that day, so we weren't able to use it. As a result, we all received free passes to come and spend another day at the spa to use the steam room, the hot tub and the mineral pool and swimming pool. This doesn't include any treatments, but the regular value is $40.00. So now we need to choose another day before my friend moves so we can get together again. All in all it was a truly wonderful and blessed long weekend. God is still taking very good care of me.
