May- Day 1

Hello all! Ok so todays May 1, 2013 and I have a mini-goal of losing 9 lbs by May 31, 2013. I exercised today, lifting weights and stretching. I ate really good, and I don't like to eat before bed so I'm hungry now a bit but I'm going to wait until the morning to eat.
May 1 - day 1- conquered.l Bring on Day 2!

  Good for you to set mini goals! I hope you make it! However, it is a very fierce one, so remember this quote and make it your anchor when ever you feel you are not making enough progress:

"Progress, no matter how small, is still progress. The only thing that matters is that you are better off today than you are yesterday or the day you started!"

    I hope that you aren't setting yourself up for disappointment with your mini-goal. I find that it is often better to not be quite so specific about time frames. Rather than saying "I want to lose 'x' amount by ....." you are better off to say "I will lose some weight by ...."

As exercise appears to be new to you, I hope that you are starting off with baby steps - not overdoing it! The same with your nutrition. Don't make a load of changes all at once!
