May Day

Wednesday, May 01, 2013

I have been remembering, all day, how much fun we used to have making baskets out of construction paper and filling them with flowers. No ones flowers were safe, either, as every kid on the block was hunting for them! Then the most fun was putting them on someone doorstep and ringing the bell then running to hide. They smiled and the children smiled so everyone was happy! I do hope that your May Day has been full of smiles and flowers!

I took our Boston back to the vet today and we have to take him to a heart specialist at the KU Veterinary Clinic in Manhatten tomorrow. I do hope that our weather holds until we get there and back.

I was reminiscing with a friend on line about how we used to make May baskets when we went to the little country school where we used to live. I am behind reading on here but hope you get some better news about your Boston when you see the specialist.

We have a second grade class that does this for us. So nice to come back from lunch and see a May basket hanging on our door! emoticon
