A-MAY-zing Haze

Wednesday, May 01, 2013

A new month, a clean calendar page. I know that always restores my faith that I can dare to dream again.

Today, I have been taking a hard look at my plan - what's working, what's not.

One of the things that really a-MAY-zed me is how far off I was in eye-balling the amount of cereal I had for breakfast.

I was absolutely a-MAY-zed that what I honestly thought was 1 cup was in reality closer to a cup and a half! So, those measuring tools that have been sitting on the counter (nah, I don't need to measure this again) will be going back into action.

It is a-MAY-zing how easily I slip into that "maintenance haze" (look how far I've come! a little bit of this or that won't hurt, etc.) and the result every time is less energy and an increase on the scales.

I'm looking for articles that give the overview of the Spark nutrition plan. It's time for me to get back to the Spark principles of health that brought me to this point and will guarantee my future success!

I use those individual scoopers that are 1 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/4 cup - and they help me to visualize how much food goes into each one.

Cereal's always hard to eyeball for me, in fact a lot of portions are out of whack right now--I'm finally finding a use for my multitude of measuring cups, besides butter and oil. And I like it! emoticon
