Today is actually lovely, warm, but breezy and I actually had to take off a layer!
So glad to get some Vit D!

It is MAY!!!
Wow!
Where has the year gone?

I am working on my book today and it involved editing , so sorry if I am MIA, and I find that being on "The Plan" is taking a little more brain work than wondering into the kitchen and scrounging for a meal. I actually have to make sure I have the ingredients on hand and prepped.
AND...( this is big) Follow a menu!
I usually make stuff up as I go, so for me to actually stick to a menu and recipe's this closely is quite and accomplishment!



This was yesterday's lunch!

I didn't realize it until later on in the day when I made another batch of the broccoli soup that I had eaten a double serving! OOPS! Oh well....live and learn.

I just can't tell you what it is, but I am feeling so much happier in the last 2 days. Nothing particularly different, just feel light hearted for some reason.

I think it has got to do with really getting down and challenging myself in the area of my writing and now working with a professional editor is really the stimulation I needed!
I am so excited for the whole project!

It is for this reason that I am not going to run a formal challenge for this month!
You are welcome to check in with me and let me know how you are doing, I am going to post links for the last few tips from Allison and I have more "3 Piece Snacks" but I am going to take the pressure off myself to write a 30 Day Challenge blog every day.

As much as I love doing it, it takes time and energy and since it provides no income for the family, my DH has advised me to take a month break while I work on the book, which is something which hopefully WILL bring me some income!

For me it really isn't about the money, really, I run the challenges because I love to. It is more about not spreading myself too thin.

I will still post links to blogs as and when I get time to do them, but they will be sporadic.

PLEASE don't stop doing all the good stuff you are doing for your health and wellness!

I'm not going anywhere, I am still here to encourage you all, I will just have to be disciplined to monitor my time!

    Soup and salad look goooood

No problem re the challenges - of course, you should be focussing on your deadlines etc. I think I'm going to take this month to find something that works for me better than my April plan. Maybe my way of increasing protein by going back to hard cheeses was not quite what my body needed! ....?

  Wonder what soup will be replaced with for the spring? I wouldn't worry about a double serving, she says you can eat all the veggies you want until full. It's basically all veggies!

    Glad it's going so well. Actually glad we're taking a short hiatus, I was wondering how to fit another challenge in right now so this will be a good time to just keep going with what I've been doing and improving improving improving. Starting tomorrow I'm planning on working out my schedule to try the 5/2 approach to eating. That too will cause me to have to diligently plan for 2 days a week, not just for me but for the whole family. DH may join me but I have to cook for the kids and make sure it's healthy for them but not too tempting for me! It's getting easier all the time as long as I ensure I have the larder full. Looking forward to the practise!

    Good for you taking a break! You are putting so much time and effort into those challenges, I sometimes wonder if you sleep :)
So happy you liked the broccoli soup - isn't it amazing? I'm almost sorry we're heading into 90F weather and soup isn't recommended - I could have it cold of course :)
Doing the Plan takes more organisation and prep but the meals (and results!) are so worth it!
