Jumpstart Day 3

Last night we had Turkey patties on sauteed spinach with avocado. This morning we had a smoothie with watermelon, berries, spinach, and ground flax seeds with our 1 egg 3 egg whites. Pretty good. Getting better as the week goes on.

For lunch I am eating chicken, apple, celery, lemon juice, parmesan, and olive oil salad. This is the best salad so far. I am having a really hard time eating raw broccoli and peppers in the quantaty Bob describes, this seems to sit better in my stomach. I think I might do this salad more frequently next week.

I walked last night, but this morning my feet were ON FIRE! I think I will have to stick to strength training and yoga. I am still sticking with the idea that "going through the motions" of scheduling time for activity every day will eventually become a habit, and that I will be able to do more intensive activity as I take some weight off my feet.

Tonight the plan is stir-fry and I am going to prep some more chicken for the rest of the week.

Except for the whole egg cracked into the egg white, and the fact that we might get slightly more olive oil than Bob calls for because I cook primarily in cast iron pans that need to be seasoned, and the one diet coke I indulged in, I have been following the diet pretty religiously. I have not been hungry. I don't need extra veggies during the day, I feel pretty good, I am definitely more hydrated.

With the exception of my feet, everything is going fairly well. I don't anticipate that I will lose the 20 lbs the diet claims just because I am not able to work out as much as the program calls for, but I am okay with it taking a little more time. My intention is not to "crash" diet, but to focus on a regimen that will translate well into a more moderate diet. I know that I tend to do better with strict rules rather than "moderation". Moderation quickly becomes binging on carbs and sugar for me.

I don't doubt that we will be able to keep going. This weekend will probably be hard, but I am ready - there are lots of chopped veggies in our fridge, and I have a lot to do, so I will keep pretty busy.

    I am using the JumpStart to get back on track with Bob's Skinny Rules...I think You are right, after a 3-week Jumpstart the RULES will be a breeze....LOL

    Thanks for the updates. I am starting tomorrow. I know the Skinny Rules works for my and I need the Jumpstart right now to get me back on track
