7 days post op

Wednesday, May 01, 2013

Hi guys, I'm 7 days post op and still not feeling great so I will make this short, everything went well and I'm slowly recovering. Still can't get much down food wise, it will be a long process. I'm still adjusting. My weigh in went great this morning but I can't say I worked my butt off for it :( I will take the loss though. I'll try to check in in a few days. Hope everybody is doing fantastic!

Don't try to eat too much. I ate about three tablespoons at a time at a week out. I still only eat about half a cup at a time now and I am five months out. Just eat a tiny bit every two or three hours, try to get plenty of protein if you are able. I didn't feel very well until about three weeks out, which is when I went back to work, and even then I ended up taking off another couple of weeks because I wasn't up to par. At the point where you are now, I was still napping every day and otherwise just resting. Take it easy and give your body plenty of time to recover! The surgeons make it seem like this surgery is no big deal but it is a difficult surgery with a long recovery time.
