so...i am proud of myself for completing one full month of this weight-loss/healthy-me process. if i can stick it out for a month, i think i can stick it out for the long haul! however, i am SO FRUSTRATED WITH THE SCALE! i have been eating around 1000 calories and burning around 500 calories and NOT LOSING ANYTHING!! AHHHHHH! i really wanted to hit my goal of 10 lbs lost in the first month. ohhhhh well.
i did, however, try on my motivation dress today (referenced in a previous blog) annddd...it zipped:) i probably need to lose another likke 5-7 lbs for it to look good on me, but it is cool to see my progress in that tangible way. since the scale is being mean.
wrap up of april:
-9 lbs lost!
-did really well with nutrition!
-probably only ate bread products on about three days...not really missing them (WEIRD!)
-am learning how to go out and not over-indulge (i.e. saving room for red wine, and not eating the crap that everyone else is drunk-eating)
-getting back in the swing of exercise
-saving money by packing a lunch every day/making breakfast and coffee at home every day
-stayed well within sodium boundaries
-(stayed well within all boundaries, generally below calorie ranges)
-drank 6+ cups of water per day (usually 8+)
-ate a CRAPTON of fruits and veggies haha...probably like 5-10 servings a day
goals for may:
-continue all of the above things :)
-really focus on fitness -- work out with intention, and get into the "get-fit" mindset, rather than the "i just want to burn calories" mindset
-get below 162! i have not been below 162 since age 14, and if i made it there, it would be a GREAT motivator to keep going! i also think this is completely attainable!
-amp up protein!!! find ways to sneak in more protein!
