Last night when I should have been sleeping, I watched "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" on YouTube, in which two men spend 60 days on a juice fast and not only lose weight (like, almost 100 pounds each), but cure their autoimmune disease and remake their lives.
I never--Never, I say!--thought I would have any interest in juicing. I thought it was just a silly waste of vegetables.
I hereby officially apologize for my closed-minded attitude. It sounds like a great idea, and I already spoke to the DP and we are going to look into buying a juicer and doing periodic juice fasts--not for 60 days, since we are both at recommended BMIs, but for an initial 7-10 days, perhaps, and then maybe a few times a year, or one day a week, or whatever works for us.
Step 1, however, would be to ditch the coffee--"kick the bean," as I used to say. But not today, since I stayed up half the night to watch the movie. I love irony.
