Good Morning!

I thought Iíd sit down and say hi! All last week, I was able to get my workouts inÖbut Sunday, after a great ride on Poppy, I was virtually run over by Aztero. The other boarderís horse and I had to go to the Emergency room with then sent me to a room upstairs.

I didnít have to stay long, not much they could do for me other than treat my pain.

I broke a couple transverse Processes, which are the bones connected to your vertebrae. I also have some tenderness and bruising in all areas that his hooves landed on my body.

Long story short, he was trying to get out of the dry lot and into the big field for grass, but his mom wasnít letting him out there and he was hungry, and I was in his way. I couldnít even get out of his way.

I have a hard time believing Aztero did this on purpose but my husband is sure he did. He and the farm owner saw the whole thing.

Iím attempting work for a couple hours today, probably to bring some work home and get out of the house for a bit.

I honestly still canít believe this happened to meÖ.

So sorry that happened to you. I just now was catching up with everyone. First was on vacation during this time, then got sick, then I got injured on the 10th when I fell off my bike! Sprained my arm really bad and got bruised, scraped up and very sore and just now able to use the arm better with typing and all.
Horses are dangerous to be around, I know all about that and I am sure others have had bad experiences too. Accidents do happen, no matter how careful we are. I see you have another blog with an update, I will look at that too. Speedy Recovery!

Oh, no, Celeste! I didn't see this till now! Please let me hear from you if you are all right. So sorry this happened! I have been run over before too, but the horse's chest kind of knocked me out of the way first. We sold that horse at the local sale after that. Didn't want to take the chance of him running someone else over. emoticon

Ugh having grown up around horses, I know exactly what you are talking about.....big animals especially when you get caught in the cross fire. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Take care of yourself. Be gentle on the horse, it sounds like he didn't mean to hurt you, just wanted to get to greener pastures and you were in the way.
