What do you mean wine isn't part of fasting? Duh...it's GRAPE!

Wednesday, May 01, 2013

So yeah, I broke down and had a glass of wine on Day 2 of my newly begun juice fast and I'll tell ya why.

Um.

cuz I can?

emoticon

Guess What? Hubby had his surgery. It's true. I know. I can hardly believe it myself it's been so long. His surgery started late. Like, we arrived at noon and waited until after 3:30 for him to go back. Crazy times I tell ya! I kept waiting for something to happen. The military changed their minds again or whoops they lost more paperwork.....Then I did homework in the cafeteria (as algeblah waits for no one) and even after 5 hours of waiting on juice and coffee was I waiting. The docs never came out until they were done.

He did it!

And he took his first "walk" today. You know what? he didn't LIMP!! The man did not have a limp, it was so beautiful. sighs (that's a happy sigh)

I took my girls to see him today. They bought him ice cream in all his poofy doped up glory. Then we came home as my youngest is trying out for cheer at the high school.

BUT....I didn't forget why I'm here. I ran out of apples already for my juicing and juicing base seems to always have apples and carrots in them. I bought apples and spotted a bottle of wine.....I don't know how it got in the cart.
emoticon but I'm having a glass as I type this. And I justify it with grapes. (tee hee)

My middle one after enjoying MY strawberries LOL says to me "let's go for a run"

***and the angels came down from the sky and sang in choral bliss****

so we both downloaded C25 app (new phone) and we ran....and walked....and ran some more. And you know what? We're gonna do it again!!

My $20 shoes surprisingly did well!! (that's why we did week 1 again as well as cuz we downloaded the app and figured 'hey, why not/') But yeah, no shin splints, no arch pains. I did at the last 60 second run feel a slight ache in my GOOD ankle but I'm not counting that. My lungs man...I thought it was a good thing I was starting over. But MAN it felt .....GOOOOOD!!

Now, for that Hip Hop Abs....(rolling up sleeves) I've been avoiding it because a) I feel silly and b) really, I just feel silly becuz I don't know how to do this. Shaun T looking at me all cute like, showing me his abs just like so and I'm all blobby, jiggling all over, staring at the tele saying "STOP FOR ONE MINUTE WOULD YA?"

BUT, I'm doing it!!

Tomorrow begins day 3 of my juicing. I hope I don't get those crazy panic attacks I had on day 3 and 4 last time.

nah,

that's what I got the wine for.

That is amazing that he is walking already and without a limp!
Ok.. now you almost made me pee myself with your wine comment LOL Listen, it's liquid, its fruity and it's yummy. So if you felt you deserved it, more power to you!
Just push some waters because it could dehydrate you.
    Keep on Juicing!

I am glad he no longer limps and the surgery worked so well. LOL on the wine. I juice grapes all the time. Try doing the dark purple ones if you want it to taste like wine. They say the grapes help fight cancer and inflammation. emoticon

That is great that your husbands surgery went well. That is a good reason to have a glass of wine. (If you decide you need an excuse to have one in the next week, or month, or year!) LOL!

Glad the surgery went well. When my husband had surgery, it was on he vertebrae in his neck (C4 and C5). I didn't eat in the morning because I Felt badly that he couldn't. Bad mistake. I wore a heavy wool sweater which was perfect for the drive and the wait, but surgery went much longer than expected. I started to stress out more intensely. Finally, they brought me to see him in recovery where it was 150 degrees. And I promptly passed out. Quite embarrassing really. Had to go to the ER to be cleared. Glad you fared better. While I'm not a wine drinker, I think that it fits in well with a juice fast. ;)
