Silent meditation and prayer

I am a fast moving person and very much a talker, who is often multi- tasking. For the past two Tuesdays, I have been going to a silent meditation and prayer. I enjoyed it the first time. This time I really got a lot out of it. It was nice for me to shut up, quiet my mind, relax and pray. One of the things we did was visualize ourselves forgiving those who we believe hurt us. Then to take the time to forgive ourselves for hurting others and for those actions that resulted in hurting ourselves. One of the ways that I have hurt myself is by not always taking care of my body. We need our bodies to have a good quality of life. It was a great opportunity to forgive myself, give thanks for my body and my life. It is always a great feat when a talker can enjoy self imposed silence.
