Hey, two main trains of thought about May - it's the beginning of a great wonderful season of summer fun, and WHOA, I've still got a bit of poundage I could get rid of.
Now, I DID lose 7 lbs this year - which is GREAT! - But I've still gotta keep at it -
I "slacked off" from tracking food in April, but I still lost 1, which is good, but hey, with tracking I can lose 2 a month (while setting my sparkpeople goal to "aiming" for 5 ).
And OMG - those aren't grandma arms, are they? (pic taken today)
Yup, got some TONING to do - the hiking about 20 miles a week helps my lower half, but I've been only doing a strength-training class at the gym maybe once a week, so probably want to throw in some Homework - pushups (which I sorta strangely like) and weights when watching the tube (in tune to songs on the Voice, of course!), and planks are pretty good too. Okay, then - will start out trying to do "homework" at least 2 times a week - 15 minutes minimum.
Meantime, I've got lots of fun hikes planned - trying to hit all the "Lost" and "Hidden" lakes in the Tahoe Sierra (counted 10), plus the usual favorites. And, um, watching what I eat on those hikes! (found mini Kind bars are a godsend)
