eat more - get fat, simple as that

Tuesday, April 30, 2013

That isn't 100% true but that is my truth right now. I have been eating more, moving less or perhaps less intensely, and thus, I am up in weight and looking flabby as all get out. I need to get my sexy together! I am only slightly disappointed in myself. It is typical of anyone on a weight loss journey to have gains here or there. This is the first time in 11 months for me that I have had a real gain. I can contain these 3 or 4 lbs. I can do it. But first, I have to stop eating the bad food that my inner fat girl feeds off of.

To help me do this, I have begun a local chapter of Black Girls Run! in Omaha. Sidebar: I am inviting anyone who wants to become a runner. My close friend Misti is our first honorary black girl! emoticon The group is small but I am hoping it will get bigger.

I also need to get my water intake up quick!

Had my third laser hair removal apt tonight and it hurt so much I was crying! I have never felt pain like that. I would rather go through child birth again. At least that felt worth it!

On my way to run. Have a fab day folks!

    Hey Nik!
I know you will take hold of this and shake it! You are having an off week, everyone does, it's how you over come it that will make you better for it.
Good for you for organizing your running group! I need to do something like that. I guess I need to really run first! lol.
As for the lazer....I just finished my 6th lazer and I am FINALLY seeing the black hairs gone! My groupon runs out in August, so hopefully by then all the dark will vacate from my chinny chin chin. I'm debating weather I want to do my armpits next. Hmmm.
Have a great rest of the week!!!

I hope your group grows too! I would totally join y'all if I lived closer. I wish I knew some ladies that would like to start a jogging team. You've got this. You'll kick those 3-4lbs to the curb and continue on your journey to better health. Goodluck!

I have two black sons, but we live in Utah where it would be SO AWESOME to have a group of black runners and I could be honorary. LOVE IT! Thanks for the idea and the motivation.

Wow, sorry to hear about the pain of laser hair removal! I think getting the water intake up is the fastest, easiest way to improve your diet, you'll naturally eat less without much effort. Good luck!

I saw a group of Black Girls Run, and it was awesome. Several of them ran the 10K that I did. At one point, one of them ran with me for the first few miles... then I started flagging and she went on ahead... and I ended up finishing with another member of the group (we were the last 2 finishers). I was VERY impressed with the group - it was at least a couple dozen women, being very supportive of each other. A few of them ran the last quarter-mile or so with the last place finisher.
If your group is anything like that one, it should be pretty darn awesome!

Girl, with your hectic life you are doing amazing! My life is pretty non-hectic and it's hard for ME, so I commend you! You will melt away those pounds in no time, once your crazy travel schedule settles down. emoticon
