Calories, Training, and Sad News

Tuesday, April 30, 2013

Well the turkey burger was good at Burger King today higher in calories cause of the bun and the mayo on it. Maybe next time just eat it without mayo and bring the bun home to use as croutons or something. Also had the onion rings probably bad choice but then you have to treat yourself once in a while. I did not do as well in training yesterday I was about two minutes slower. I did not pump my arms while walking like i did before. We got some sad news today; a person from our church passed away this morning. He was 84 and he had fallen off a ladder last Wednesday and broke his ribs and cracked his skull. The family decided to take him off the respirator last night after the doctors said that they thought he was only having his reflexes moving and that if he were to live he would have to have surgery on his trachea and that the fall affected the left side of his brain. He was very active as a volunteer at the local hospital as a member of the Gideon Society on the board of the camp where i go to serve every year and in the church. Him and his wife were always the ones who took us to church on Sunday and other times. They helped Jenny out more than once by taking her to appointments. He will be missed greatly. I am hoping and praying that the ones who left will be impacted and care enough about his wife that they will not only come to his funeral but come back to stay. She needs all of us now behind her.

I'm sorry about your friend from church. He sounds like a great person. I'm glad you're not beating yourself up over the BK trip - that would take the pleasure out of eating what you did. I know you're normally better with your diet, so the occasional treat isn't a bad thing.

A treat once in awhile never hurts. If you are going to have something, just enjoy it. So sorry to hear about your church member. He sounded like a very kind man. Hope your good memories of him will help ease the loss. emoticon

Hugs, sorry to hear of the lose of a friend. As for the Burger King trip there are worse things and sometimes you've gotta enjoy a little extra.
